
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned the new Army Headquarters Annex office and also cut sod for the new Army Headquarters Complex at Burma Camp.
This was part of the celebration of the 2019 Army Week under the theme “Ghana Army- Providing Security for National Development”.

At the celebration, Dr. Bawumia noted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration has embarked on projects in the areas of housing, provision of equipment and training to ensure that the morale of troops and their dependents always remains high as they go about their duties. He again added, that the barracks regeneration project is ongoing to address their accommodation challenges.

He reaffirmed government’s commitment to ensure that the security services get the necessary training and logistics required to carry out their operations and also safeguard the safety of the country.
Dr. Bawumia also urged the troops to continue to work to promote civil-military relations and forge a closer relation with their civilian counterparts to promote healthy relations in Ghana.
