
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on Sunday, joined hundreds of Ghanaians of all religious persuasions to watch a fantastic play depicting the life and times of revered Chief Imam, H.E. Sheikh Dr Osman Nuhu Sharabutu.

The event, also saw his Eminence the Chief Imam being honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Vice President.
The play reminded all of the very important role the Chief Imam continues to play in fostering religious co-existence and national cohesion.

Testimony of the immeasurable role he plays in fostering national unity was aptly captured in the tall list of attendees including Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast; Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, immediate past Chairman of the Church of Pentecost; Most Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante of the Peace Council; the United States of America’s Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Stephanie S. Sullivan; Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Ghana H. E. Meshal Hamdan AL Rogi; and the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Lulu Xingwana.
