About 10 sacks of skeletons and decayed body parts have been discovered by police at Larteh Akuapem in the Eastern region.

Sacks containing the human remains were reportedly uncovered in a valley by some motor riders who were involved in an accident.

Akropong District Police Commander, Superintendent Stephen Tetteh confirmed this to Adom News.

He explained that, the motor riders, who were trapped in the valley, alerted them about the discovery during their rescue mission.

The Akropong District Commander said they were still at sea but suspected some grave looters might have dumped the bones in the valley for safekeeping.

Supt. Tetteh said the riders consulted a local fetish priest on the matter before reporting to the police.

He said the matter has been referred to the Eastern Regional Police Command for forensic investigations.
