Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George has clashed with District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ningo-Prampram, Jonathan Teye Doku over projects supposedly done under the $1 million per constituency initiative.
The MP claims no project has been done in his constituency but it is in the budget of the Finance Minister.
This move, he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Monday was part of a grand scheme to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.
He revealed that, the government claims it has built public toilets and boreholes at Ningo-Prampram but it remains a ghost project.
“I challenge the Finance Minister to come out to Prampram and show me where those public toilets and boreholes are. None, nothing,” he fumed.
But in a rebuttal, the DCE for Ningo-Prampram, Jonathan Teye Doku said the MP is peddling an obvious untruth.
He said the MP has deliberately refused to see the developmental projects in the area for political expediency.
“The public toilets and boreholes under $1 million per constituency is very visible but Sam George has refused to see,” he added.
