My wife left me over Kumasi mayor job – Kofi Jumah

Former Kumasi Mayor and MD for GIHOC Distilleries Maxwell Kofi Jumah has disclosed his wife of many years left him because she did not like his job as Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metroplis under former President Kufuor.

According to him, the woman, with whom he had five children, described the job as ‘crazy’.

Detailing on Starr Chat with Bola Ray, the former MP for Asokwa said “my wife left me because I was a mayor. She said the job is a crazy job.”

He continued: “before she left, she said ‘whenever you get done with this mayor job, come back and marry me.’”

“I thought she was joking, but later I realized she was serious”.

Kofi Jumah was Mayor for Kumasi in the erstwhile Kufuor administration. He lived abroad with his family for many years

His daughter is also married to the mayor of New Jersey.
