Farmer’s Day :Young Ghanaian Accountant Farmer set’s world record.

Kofi Ampah Korsah is an Accountant by profession who had his formal education in Accountancy from the Kumasi Technical University. Although he learnt the trade of accountacy, his passion for farming grew so great that, he lodged aside his accounting profession and engaged himself in farming in the year 2013.

Besides being passionate about the farming trade, his main aim of going into farming was to grow enough to feed the hungry in his community and the nation by extension whiles providing a mechanised and inproved form of job creation for the youth in his community. He envisioned, contributing his quota in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
Mr. Korsah, started in the major season of 2015 with an acre of land he rented. By the end of the season, the farm harvested 8 bags of maize (150kgs).

Despite the lack of the right farm inputs, he was glad his effort yielded such a harvest and was encouraged to acheive more in the next farming season.
Korsah, engaged in some indepth research on farming and discovered that its better to use the hybrid seedlings. This, he was able to implement in the next major season in 2016 and some recommended inputs . This time, using their protocols together with experience learnt over the last season, he was able to harvest 15,000 maxi bags .
